With a lineage stretching back more than 400 years, English Old Ale emerged shortly after hops took hold in England and became a revered predecessor to today's barrel-aged beers. Traditionally matured for long periods in oak, these strong ales developed deep, layered character and the complex, wine-like qualities that defined the style. After patiently tasting and monitoring this barrel over time, we're excited to share an Old Ale that's fully come into its own. Warm notes of caramel and toffee lead the way, supported by nuances of dried fruit and a mellow oak influence - an elegant expression of a classic, time-honored style.
